What is your understanding of digitalization in education?
There's such a restructuring going on in schools right now. You either deal with it or you get hung up on it. It's gaining importance in society, in whatever areas. It's very important to be familiar with it in order to network
What does your work with OER look like?
By looking at inclusivity in the seminar context, we looked at the extent to which we could use the different sub-blocks to address different needs of the students. This has inspired me and I have taken more time as a teacher to look at the different needs and put my materials together accordingly so that everyone is addressed.
What are advantages/disadvantages of OER?
I think that it is very time consuming to really do everything and every task, every part. Especially when I have a worksheet and I think about how to make it so that all students, with different levels or requirements can cope with it. If I think about and make something for each student individually, I have a much greater time commitment than if I can look at things but know I can use that, change that, adapt that.
OER can also be helpful for students for their own studies. There are also different platforms that you can use to somehow find out more. So I think it's not only important for the school context, but also for yourself if you have something that you might want to look at again.
I would spend my time really listening to the needs of my students, and I would rather change existing material than create new material, because that is very time consuming. Everything has already been done in the school context anyway. That's why I think it's utopian to create something completely new. Therefore, it is also legitimate to take something from existing things and put it together anew. I think that's the only thing that makes sense.
What are the benefits/limitations of digitalisation for inclusive education?
You should be able to use building blocks that you can adapt to the needs of the students and then put them together, or take inspiration from them. It may not all fit exactly into the lesson or lesson planning, but it can still give you food for thought.
The thing might be particularly good for differentiation. I think that's where it's important that you're allowed and able
