OUR RESEARCH

The research portion of the digiLLM project primarily involves two key components:

Literature Review

The team collected and analyzed relevant literature on inclusive digital learning materials, educational technology, and inclusive education practices. This comprehensive review of existing research helps establish the theoretical foundation for the project and identifies gaps in current knowledge.

Interviews

The researchers conducted interviews with various stakeholders in the educational field. These likely included teachers, students, educational experts, and possibly policymakers. The interviews aim to gather first-hand insights, experiences, and perspectives on the use of digital learning materials and their inclusivity.

OER Repository Analysis

The digiLLM team analyzed OER repositories to assess current digital learning materials, evaluate inclusivity, identify best practices, and inform guidelines. This research also influenced the design of the digiLLM interactive portal.

These research approaches serve several purposes

  • To understand the current state of inclusive digital learning materials
  • To identify challenges and opportunities in creating and implementing such materials
  • To gather diverse perspectives on what makes digital learning materials truly inclusive
  • To inform the development of the Framework for Reflection on Living Learning Materials (FRoLLM)

By combining literature analysis with qualitative data from interviews, the digiLLM project aims to create a comprehensive and grounded approach to developing and evaluating inclusive digital learning materials.
